MacMillan's version of Sleeping Beauty, staged for the American Ballet Theatre is perhaps one of the only productions which is not boring... It is anyway far better than the Royal Ballet ones! Fernanda Oliveira was a nice and delicate Aurora and Dmitri Gruzdyev her prince Desiré did beautiful things as well... The corps the ballet is perhaps the winner of the round in the numerous little bits they are to dance on their own... However, it still lacks of general interest...
